Can you bypass your local firewall and/or web proxy server and access a test-Terminal-Server from the Tunnel2 team? |
Download the Tunnel2 client
In short you'll need a Windows 2000/XP or 2003 operating system with pre-installed Microsoft Windows Terminal Client™ (see:
why a Windows Terminal Client is required).

Tunnel client (just unzip)
In order to download the Tunnel2 Server Gateway, you need to log in!
Unzip or install the Tunnel2 client
Unzip the downloaded ZIP-file (on most windows system: right-click the .ZIP file and select "extract to...").
Configure and Run the Tunnel2 client
Start the Application (in case you unzipped, the file contains an .EXE
SecureTerminalServerGateway.exe).
In case you're using a
web-proxy server with your Internet Explorer the application usually asks to import your web proxy settings. Please confirm that dialog.

The Tunnel2 Secure Terminal Server Gateway (section "Gateway settings") is a webserver that receives the traffic generated by the Tunnel2 Client and forwards it to the appropriate webserver. The Tunnel2 team provides a test-Gateway Server at
gateway.LMIS.de.

Please test the Tunnel2 Client with the switch "Use secure connection" disabled and - if that does not work - set this switch, start the client and test again.
Click on "Connect!"
In any case - if this test was successful or not - please
leave feedback. Thank you!
